Located on the northern side of the Hollywood Hills, Studio City's attraction is its more relaxed vibe than the hustle of Downtown LA yet close enough for commuters to consider it the ideal place to call home. Spanish-style houses are tucked away on pleasant tree-lined streets that are dog and walker-friendly.
Although residents have their favorite bars and restaurants somewhat hidden on the side streets of Studio City, the main drag is Ventura Boulevard where locals run errands, get mani/pedis, take a yoga class, meet friends for coffee etc. and tourists will find unique dining experiences and be tempted by a plethora of boutiques. Take advantage of the area's Metro “Smart” Bikes and explore Studio City or get a work out on the many excellent hikes on the northern side of the Hollywood Hills. Topping the list is Fryman Canyon Trail, a dog-friendly trail that takes you up through a residential area behind Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Mulholland Drive where hikers can take in sweeping views of the Valley. There’s also the North Valleyheart Riverwalk and the Dearing Mountain Trail.
